Progress Your Physio Career

For New Graduates and Those Ready for the Next Step. You don’t have to be a new graduate to benefit from great mentorship.

Your first few years as a physiotherapist should be about learning, building confidence and developing your clinical skills; not feeling overwhelmed by back-to-back appointments and a high-volume caseload.

At South Burnett Physiotherapy, we offer a different pathway.

Our traineeship-style mentor program provides structured mentorship, professional development and hands-on clinical experience, allowing you to progressively build your skills and independence with experienced clinicians supporting you.

You’ll be encouraged to learn, ask questions and develop your clinical skills in a supportive, high-performing environment; all while delivering high-quality, patient-centred care.

Whether you’re taking your first steps into practice or looking to build a career in a regional community, South Burnett Physiotherapy is committed to helping you grow, thrive and make a real difference.

Why Rural Queensland?

Rural physiotherapy gives you the opportunity to become part of a community while developing a broad and rewarding clinical skill set.

The South Burnett offers a relaxed lifestyle, strong community connections, outdoor sport and recreation activities and affordable living without sacrificing professional development and career progress. Furthermore, we offer support to those interested in pursuing an Allied Health Rural Generalist (AHRG) postgraduate study.

Mentorship without overwhelm

For New Graduates

Your first year doesn’t need to be overwhelming. You deserve an environment where you can ask questions, make mistakes, learn from experienced clinicians and gradually build your confidence.

At South Burnett Physiotherapy, you’ll have the opportunity to develop a broad clinical skill set while being supported through your transition from university into private practice. You won’t be expected to figure it all out on your own. Our traineeship style program means you’ll have access to one-on-one mentoring, regular clinical supervision and support from experienced senior clinicians. This provides a safe environment to discuss cases, develop your clinical reasoning and refine your assessment and treatment skills.

Already 3–4 Years Out?

Perhaps you’ve been working for several years but feel like your clinical development has plateaued. Maybe you’re finding private practice increasingly focused on back-to-back appointments, high caseloads and productivity, without enough time or support to develop your clinical skills. Or perhaps you simply want to become a better clinician but aren’t sure what the next step looks like.

You don’t have to be a new graduate to benefit from having experienced clinicians around you.

Our goal is to support you and progressively build your confidence without the overwhelm of a high-volume clinic. You’ll develop confidence with experienced clinicians around you who are invested in helping you grow.

Are you passionate about helping people overcome injury and seeking a role where you can truly make an impact?

Join our allied health team in the South Burnett and take the lead in delivering musculoskeletal physiotherapy care while improving health outcomes in a rural community.
