    We treat injuries related to the pelvis, back, hip, knee, ankle, shoulder and neck.

  • Undergoing surgery is only one part of the journey to regaining function and living with less pain. Research shows that physiotherapy prior to orthopaedic surgery can significantly improve outcomes following surgery.
    Rehabilitation following surgery is also essential to restore joint range of motion, strength and build confidence with movement again. We pride ourselves on communicating with your specialist and all health professionals involved with your treatment, to ensure an individualised rehabilitation program is developed.

All appointments are one on one and plans are made to suit your individual situation. We work with musculoskeletal issues as well as control, balance, and skill building that is tailored for you. From initial assessments right through to tailored recovery programs, our team of Physiotherapists can assist you to improve your overall function and independence.

Do you take GP referrals?

We provide care under the Chronic Disease Management Scheme, where a GP Management Plan (GPMP) and Team Care Arrangements (TCAs) have been developed. We accept these and process Medicare rebates and the gap fee on the spot.

Do I need a referral?

No you don’t need a referral to attend South Burnett Physiotherapy. You can call the clinic for an appointment or book online. We will ask a few questions over the phone to get a snapshot of your injury. We will guide you on anything you need to prepare for your appointment to make it as smooth as possible.

What payment options are available?

We offer a wide range of payment options. We process private health payments on-site at the time of your visit. We welcome Department of Veteran Affairs (DVA) appointments, Work Cover claims and NDIS patients.

What should I expect at my first consultation?

In the initial 45 minute appointment, your physiotherapist will discuss the nature of your symptoms, your story and what your goals are.

Physical Examination:

Your physiotherapist will assess your movement and utilize specific physical tests to aid in your diagnosis. Your physio may also assess surrounding joints and areas for their involvement.

Treatment Plan:

Your physiotherapist will devise a treatment plan based on your examination and the latest available evidence. This plan may include some exercises to complete at home utilizing an app or printed examples!
